Cuemath reaches a key milestone with 20K students
Continues to impart world class math learning program to teach math as a life skill
Bangalore, India – July 11, 2017:
Cuemath, India’s leading home-based, after-school learning program for mathematics touches 20,000 students and 2500 centers across 80 cities.
“This is an important milestone for us and it’s only the beginning,” said Manan Khurma, Cuemath’s founder, and CEO. “Our vision is to create thinkers and problem solvers of tomorrow. We believe this can be achieved through a robust foundation in mathematics by helping children learn mathematics the right way. We’re built on the idea that math is a life skill and therefore we want children to be math literate, not just learn math for an exam. Our curriculum has been thought through and designed keeping this in mind with a strong focus on mental aptitude and creative reasoning, along with school curriculum, helping them become better problem solvers.”
Learning Math can be difficult for most kids, mainly because of the traditional ways of teaching the subject which encourages kids to rote learn formulae. Cuemath addresses just thisthrough its personalized program that is learning based on discovery and by doing. Every Cuemath Center has only 6 to 8 students in a batch. This self-paced program also helps students assimilate concepts at their own pace, making them confident in the subject, one session at a time.
Cuemath Teacher Partners, the teachers who facilitate the Cuemath program, are handpicked from a vast pool of highly qualified and educated women who undergo several rounds of training before they start their centres from their homes. These teachers become facilitators of the math curriculum built by Cuemath and receive continued training even after they become certified Cuemath teachers. Each Cuemath session is about 60-minutes and is designed in a way, to help children on specific topics of school math which is taught through Cuemath workbooks, mental aptitude through gamification and tablets, and creative reasoning through puzzle cards.
While Cuemath facilitates learning offline, at the homes of the Cuemath Teacher Partners, parents can get regular and continuous updates about their child’s progress in real time through Cueparent, the Cuemath app for parents. Teachers can monitor progress and customize the program using Cueteacher, the Cuemath app for teachers. Cuemath’s holistic learning system is self-paced, and is standardized to give children the same learning experience irrespective of the center they join into.
