From solving critical security and manageability issues, to addressing connectivity concerns for payment processing, Intel Internet of Things brought secure end-to-end solutions for IoT transactions to key vertical markets at Transact 15 in San Francisco. At this year’s event, Intel demonstrated how Intel IoT solutions enable seamless transactions on any device, anywhere, and announced a key collaboration that will combine Intel IoT technology with Ingenico Group’s secure payments for the Internet of Things.

“We are very pleased to enter a collaboration with Intel, deploying secured payment acceptance into new connected devices,” said Philippe Lazare, chairman and CEO, Ingenico Group.
“This is a great example of how innovation can simplify the purchasing experience and further enhance the merchant-consumer relationship. Bringing secure payment into connected devices will root our payment acceptance expertise in the Internet of Things.”
“The shift in liability this October will be a major milestone in the United States for banks and credit card companies, but especially for retailers,” said Doug Davis, senior vice president and general manager, Internet of Things Group, Intel. “Intel and Ingenico Group are working to bridge the retail experience and security gap while also making sure devices are easy to deploy and manage so we don’t create new burdens for the merchants.”
A team of researchers from the University of Rochester revealed a successful cloaking device which make the front object visible.
This is “the first device that we know of that can do three-dimensional, continuously multidirectional cloaking, which works for transmitting rays in the visible spectrum.” It’s imperfection? “This cloak bends light and sends it through the center of the device, so the on-axis region cannot be blocked or cloaked.”
Guterstam predicts that, for the immediate future, the invisibility cloaks of fiction will remain fictional. “Many fundamental challenges remain before we can cloak macroscopic objects,” he told Fusion.
Though the experiment yields initial results, the application of it in the real life looks uncertain.

Rolltop is a highly flexible design of a laptop. Which can also transform like a tablet, monitor, speaker, camera etc. This concept is in very early stage of development, the videos looks promising but the quality of the product remains a concern. Once the final product is out for testing we will be able to give a proper review about it.
Studies says that this rolltop can easily be converted into 13inlaptop with touch based keyboard and a 17inch tablet or a display unit. It has come up with bundle of components such as camera, volume controller, Pen depo, stand etc.
Rolltop concept seems to be interesting, but its in developing stage and need to wait for years to touch this beauty.
